LIZZIE REILLY
I have struggled with low self esteem my whole life. I know the feeling of hopelessness and loneliness that many young adults are feeling now. I want to make a positive change in their life and bring happiness to them once again. I want to create a community of people who are all going through the same thing and are still alive and well to show how strong us humans really are.
DEBORAH BAKARE
My name is Deborah Bakare and as a teen myself, I personally know the struggle of learning to love myself and I've been through and am still going through building up full confidence in who I am inside and out. Through this organization, I hope not only to become a complete better version of myself, but also influence others to achieve the same.
NICO EASTEP
My name is Nico. I joined the NDSE to help the community. Growing up I lost a friend due to cardiac arrest, because she was starving her body. I promise to help all those that I can and to solve this issue.
SENAI SAHLZGHI
My name is Senai Sahlzghi I’am a junior at North Cobb High School and I wanted to be a part of this organization because I see that low self esteem is a major problem that is not well highlighted in today’s society . So joining this organization i was trying to learn more about it and help out in my community.
OUR TEAM
Get to Know Us
Is NDSA free?
We are a 100% free service. Our hotline is available 24/7 for free for anyone who needs it. We're here to help, not empty your pockets. We do accept donations, but they are not required. All donations go to the professional councilors that help give us more ideas on activities to make this website more up to date and easy to use.
Can I recommend this to friends/family?
Of course! We're here to help as many people as we can. The more people the better.
Is there an age requirement?
Absolutely not. Low self esteem and body image has no age. We're here to help everyone no matter their age, race, or sexuality.
MORE ABOUT NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF SELF ESTEEM
We are a nonprofit organization who is here to comfort the youths who are struggling with low self esteem and/or poor body image. These people may feel hopeless and alone, and we're here to stop that feeling. Young adults have a lot on their plate with work and/or school, so their mental health may be the last thing on their mind, and we're here to make their journey quick and easy.
Chatroom
It is known that talking to someone can help ease our brain and make our problems seem less hopeless. On our chatroom, you can talk to people who are experiencing what you are going through and can provide comfort and reassurance that you're not alone in what you're going through. The chat room will be a great way to make friends who know exactly what you're going through.
